Meira Zucker is a candidate to be the Judge of the Sylvania Municipal Court.

Meira received her law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a 24-year resident of Lucas County, and for the past 17 years has been a lawyer in private practice, concentrating in the areas of criminal defense and family law.

Meira has been married for 35 years to David and is the mother of two daughters, Sophie and Deena, both of whom she embarrasses by bragging about them too much.

Her community involvement includes serving as President of the Board of Congregation B’nai Israel; board member of WGTE Public Television; and serving as commissioner of the Ohio Broadcast Educational Media Commission. She is a member of the Toledo, Ohio State, and Wood County Bar Associations; the Toledo Women’s Bar, Maumee Valley Criminal Defense Association, and the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.
